Support our Fall Appeal

The Greater Lowell Community Foundation Fund is the primary vehicle through which individuals and businesses can provide immediate support to address our community’s greatest needs and opportunities.

Your donation will provide critical operational support for us to:

Protect Lives:
Since March, to battle the humanitarian crisis imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic GLCF has issued 192 new grants to 112 area nonprofits, released all restrictions on previously awarded grants, and distributed free PPE. In total, we have provided more than $2.7 million in relief to organizations in and serving all 20 of the communities in GLCF’s catchment area.

Tackle Issues: GLCF convened Lowell’s Homelessness Task Force, formed in 2018, to change the course of Lowell’s homeless population and improve the quality of life for residents and the business environment downtown. The result was an action plan based upon a Housing First model that is currently being implemented.

Build Futures: Between the $557,000 awarded to 277 seniors at Lowell High School and additional scholarships awarded in other districts in Greater Lowell, GLCF helps support student’s college dreams with more than $700,000 in scholarship funding annually.

When you support our Fall Appeal, you are coming together with your neighbors, and helping to transform your community. Of note, the CARES Act legislation created a new above-the-line deduction that applies to all taxpayers for total charitable contributions of up to $300 ($600 for married couples.) The incentive applies to donations made to nonprofits this year and can be claimed on personal income tax filings next year.

Please consider making as generous a gift as you can.
