Created to assist economically disadvantaged youth to participate in Lacrosse by providing Lacrosse equipment to qualified recipients.
The purpose of the Fund is to support Merrimack Repertory Theatre, Inc. so long as it is recognized as exempt from federal income tax as a ccomponent of a state, federal, regional, municipal, or other government entity or is exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. If Merrimack Repertory Tjheatre, Inc. ceases to exist, or moves out of Lowell, MA, the the funds will be redirected to a Theater Program at UMass Lowell, Middlesex Community College, or Lowell High School.
This fund provides two scholarships. One scholarship is awarded to a LHS student with financial need and at least a B average who have demonstrated leadership in community/civic activities and participated in extracurricular activities, including either varsity or junior varsity sports. The second scholarship is awarded at Bishop Guertin High School, to help cover the cost of tuition for a student from Lowell, if no Lowell resident meets the criteria for financial aid, then the tuition scholarship(s) shall be awarded to a student residing in the immediate Greater Lowell area.
The purpose of the Fund is to support the Hellenic Academic Library (The Ourania Behrakis Library) located at the Hellenic American Academy in Lowell.
Created to provide annual unrestricted support to several specifically designated nonprofit organizations.
Established in memory of Richard K. Donahue Sr. the fund supports the works of the following organizations: Merrimack Repertory Theatre, Greater Lowell Community Foundation, Whistler Museum,The New England Quilt Museum, United Teen Equality Center, Lowell Community Health Center, Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress, Mill City Grows, Lowell Parks and Conservation Trust (LPCT), and Recreational Adult Resource Association (RARA).

The Rita O’Brien Dee Center for Behavioral Health and Development — which will be based at the James Houlares Center — will be the headquarters for programs and services “that will promote healthy social-emotional development, increase children’s success in school, strengthen children and families and mitigate adversity through trauma-informed care,” according to a program flier.
