The purpose of the Fund is to provide money to purchase books, educational media and other library materials for the Marguerite H. Colgate Memorial Library at the Varnum Elementary School in the City of Lowell.
Created in 2006 to provide funds annually to the Lowell Parks and Conservation Trust, Inc. for additional maintenance and beautification as a supplement to basic city park services of Coburn Park, Lowell, Massachusetts.

The Jeanie Barkley Memorial Fund (JBMF) is a permanent fund that annually will provide scholarship opportunities to deserving students at Alvirne High School, and when the fund grows to sufficient size can support other charitable interests that Jeanie favored. The recipients will possess the potential to make the same kind of positive impact on their community that Jeanie did. The money awarded will be utilized by the winner to offset the cost of postsecondary education, tuition, fees, books, room and board.
