Sarah Droney-McGurrin Scholarship Fund
Established in memory of Sarah, a 1974 LHS alumna, the scholarship is awarded to Lowell High School student (preferably female) interested in pursuing journalism.
Doyle Family Scholarship Fund
Established in 2007 to award one or more scholarships to a graduating student from Lowell High School in Lowell, Massachusetts, who intends to pursue study in either science or mathematics at an accredited college or university.
Eileen Marjorie McGuire Donahue Scholarship Fund
Created to honor Eileen Marjorie McGuire Donahue. The fund provides scholarship awards to graduating seniors from Lowell High School to pursue a college degree in music, with preference in choral/voice study.
Michael A. DeVincenzi Memorial Scholarship Fund
Created to provide a scholarship award to a Lowell High School senior who demonstrates a financial need, has taken history or other elective social study courses, and who also shows passion for the social sciences in and out of an academic environment. The recipient must demonstrate compassion and kindness through volunteer activities including, but not limited to, mentoring, coaching or performing community service.
Berthe M. Desmarais Scholarship Fund
Established to provide scholarships to one or more meritorious female graduates of Lowell High School to pursue advanced education at an accredited college or university.
Ernie Descheneaux Memorial Scholarship Fund
Established in honor of Ernie Descheneaux a teacher, mentor and coach at LHS for over 30 years. The purpose of the Fund is to provide scholarship awards to LHS graduating seniors who possess strong academic achievements and plan to attend a two or four- year college or university pursing a major in education and demonstrates a commitment to assisting other in his/her community.
Richard J. Dacey Memorial Scholarship Fund
The fund provides a scholarship award to graduating senior from Lowell High School. The recipient must attend an accredited four year college or university.
Jane Cullen-McOsker Scholarship Fund
Created to provide scholarship awards to Lowell High School graduating seniors who plan to study education to become a teacher.
Gabriel Cuevas Memorial Scholarship Fund
This scholarship fund is in honor of Gabriel Cuevas, beloved son and friend, passed away in August 2020, just before his senior year at Lowell High. He was a genuinely kind, selfless and loving human being who loved his family and friends and used his voice to lift up those who are marginalized and excluded in school and in society. He was also a dedicated member of Aaron’s Presents, an organization that provides opportunities for young people to build community and care for others, and took every opportunity to volunteer and help the Greater Lowell community. In keeping with his giving spirit, Aaron’s Presents plans on raising $1,000 each year for an annual scholarship in his memory that Aaron’s Presents Seniors will be able to give to fellow Senior who is going on to further education or training and has financial need.
Daniel Crowther Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Fund provides a scholarship award to a graduating senior who is planning to attend a two or four year course of higher education, and who also has demonstrated leadership qualities at Lowell High School and/or the community at large.
