George Zingali Memorial Fund

The purpose of the Fund is to provide a cash award to graduating senior who has already enrolled full-time in an accredited college, university, or junior college, and has been an active marching member for the most recently completed season and march in the respective final show of the national championship contest of Drum Corps International, (“DCI”), Winter Guard International (“WGI”) or Bands of America (“BOA”).

Zarkin Family Fund

The purpose of the fund to provide for annual support for student activities at Lowell High School that encourage and sustain the educational, social and civic development of students, and the fund also provides annual distribution to develop a rewards program for LHS teachers to relax, renew, and rejuvenate.

William Woodcock Scholarship Fund

The fund provides scholarships to students graduating from Lowell High School.

Votze Butler Stone Memorial Scholarship Fund

The fund provides scholarship awards to Lowell High School graduating seniors who intend to major in Construction or Engineering. The individual should exhibit personal qualities consistent with the fund, including integrity, compassion and volunteering.

United American Energy Scholarship Fund

The fund was established to provide scholarships to graduating seniors from Lowell High School in an effort to encourage students to pursue environmental, mechanical, electrical, chemical and civil engineering studies and careers.

Katina Pappas Tsongas Scholarship Fund

Created by the late U.S. Senator and 1992 Democratic Presidential Candidate, Paul Tsongas, a graduate of Lowell High School in 1958, this fund honors his mother, who died in his childhood. The LHS scholarship is open to female residents of Lowell, MA only and will be awarded to the winner of an essay contest on women’s issues.

George N. Tsapatsaris Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the Fund is to provide one or more scholarship awards to Lowell High School graduates who have also graduated from the Bartlett School in Lowell.

Ellenor T. Trull Scholarship Fund

Established to provide a scholarship to a graduating Lowell High School student who has demonstrated academic excellence and leadership qualities, and has a financial need.

Raymond and Jean Trudel Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established to provide scholarship awards to a deserving senior from Lowell High School who has demonstrated a strong commitment to academics and work (minimum ten hours per week) in the local community, pursuing study at a two or four year accredited academic institution.

B. Douglas Townshend Choral Arts Scholarship Fund

Mr. Townshend the choral arts director at Lowell High School for many years set up this scholarship fund for students who have been involved in the music program at Lowell High School and are planning to study music in college.
